We quote one flat installed number for Rosemount homes, and we would rather you understand what is inside it than guess. Below: the line items, the three scope tiers we see in this city, and the seven details that move a quote up or down.
No published price list, because no two basements are the same. Talk scope: (888) 762-1334
Furnace Direct does not sell air exchangers as products. There is no cart, no model page, and no shipping option — only scoped, permitted, balanced installation in Dakota County and the surrounding metro.
Single-day job. This is the majority of the newer plats on the west and north sides of town.
Still one day most of the time, with drywall patching scheduled as a return visit if needed.
Site visit before we commit to a number. We would rather over-scope on paper than surprise you mid-install.
Want your tier and your number?
Request a scoped Rosemount quoteThis city has two distinct pricing populations. The older grid near the Highway 3 corridor and the surrounding farmsteads east toward the research park land carries pre-code shells, stone and block foundations, and mechanical rooms that were never designed for ducted ventilation. Those are Tier 2 and Tier 3 conversations, and the honest answer sometimes starts with sealing and exhaust corrections rather than a core.
The subdivision growth from the nineties onward is the opposite. Those homes were framed tight, came with a builder-grade ventilation arrangement, and sit on unfinished or partly finished basements with a clean rim joist. Tier 1 work, and the most common decision there is not whether to ventilate but whether to repeat the builder's core choice or switch after twenty years of living with it.
Square footage and bedroom count, the mechanical room location and whether the ceiling is finished, the nearest exterior wall, whether a floor drain is in the room, and photos of the furnace area plus the panel. That combination lets us quote firm without a site visit on most Tier 1 and many Tier 2 jobs.
Furnace Direct keeps no heat-recovery or energy-recovery inventory for counter sale. Every core we install arrives for a specific scoped job, which is why our quote is a single installed number rather than equipment plus labor plus surprises.
The installation labor is nearly identical — same two penetrations, same ducting, same commissioning. Equipment cost differs by model and capacity far more than it differs by core type, and a heat-recovery unit adds a condensate drain that an energy-recovery unit often does not need. Neither of those swings the job into a different tier by itself.
Program terms and eligibility change from year to year and by utility, so we check what is actually open when we quote rather than advertising a figure that may have expired. If a rebate applies to your address and equipment, we tell you which form to file and what documentation we owe you.
Sometimes, and on newer Rosemount subdivisions it often should be. If the real defect is one crushed bath duct and a missing range hood termination, fixing that first is cheaper and may change which core you need. We will say so in writing instead of bundling everything into one number.
Three things, in order of frequency: no viable path to an exterior wall without opening finished ceiling, an existing exchanger installed with undersized or kinked duct that has to be replaced rather than reused, and a combustion appliance that needs a draft evaluation before we change the building's pressure balance.
Send the details below and we return a flat installed price, your likely tier, and anything we would insist on correcting first.
Scope is half the decision. These cover the other half.
