Naples Manor is a small Collier County neighborhood-sized CDP, well under a square mile, about six miles from the city of Naples. Around 5,500 people live in roughly 1,420 occupied homes, which works out to nearly four people per household, a big number for southwest Florida. Eighty percent of dwellings are stand-alone single-family, typical construction year is 1979, and big apartment complexes are absent.
What sets the scope of an AC replacement here
We quote each house individually rather than posting a price. These are the factors that move a Naples Manor job up or down.
Household size and load
Four people under one roof means more cooking, showers, and laundry, all of which add heat and moisture. Sizing should come from an actual load calculation, not from copying the tonnage on the old unit.
Original ductwork
Forty-plus-year-old ductwork has usually been patched repeatedly. Leaks or flattened flex overhead can undercut a brand-new unit.
Air handler location
Units in a garage are easier to reach than ones in a tight hall closet. Swapping the indoor blower at the same time as the condenser keeps ratings and refrigerant matched.
Electrical service
With 90% of homes heating on electricity, the panel already feeds heat strips, but older panels and disconnects may need updating for current equipment.
Heat pump option
Choosing heat-pump equipment raises the equipment scope slightly while lowering winter resistance-heat use.
Hurricane anchoring
Outdoor units must be secured to the pad to meet wind-load requirements.
