About this product

90%+ AFUE furnaces need a code-compliant termination for their combustion exhaust and intake air. A concentric kit runs both through a single wall or roof penetration — cleaner install, better aesthetics, easier to waterproof.

What it does

A concentric vent kit is a double-wall termination that allows both exhaust pipe and intake air pipe to share a single penetration. The outer pipe is the intake; the inner pipe is the exhaust. Required for condensing furnace installs (92%+ AFUE).

Why you'll want it

  • Single wall/roof penetration instead of two — easier to waterproof
  • Cleaner exterior aesthetic (one pipe coming out of the siding)
  • Reduces install labor (one hole instead of two)
  • Code-compliant with most 90%+ AFUE furnace install manuals

Installation

Pick the diameter matching your furnace BTU (2" for 40-80k BTU furnaces, 3" for 100-120k BTU). Install through wall or roof per manufacturer instructions. A qualified HVAC tech should install to ensure proper sealing and code compliance.

What's in the box

  • Concentric termination fitting
  • PVC coupling hardware
  • Exterior trim flange
  • Installation instructions

Common questions

How do I know which diameter to buy?

Check your furnace model's install manual or BTU rating. 40-80k BTU furnaces use 2" PVC; 100-120k BTU use 3" PVC.

Is this required?

Most modern condensing furnaces require some form of vent termination kit. Concentric is popular but not the only option.

Can I use this for 80% AFUE furnaces?

No. 80% AFUE furnaces vent through a B-vent metal flue, not PVC. This kit is for 92%+ AFUE (condensing) furnaces only.

Saved $2,400 vs local contractor

Got quoted $9,200 from a local HVAC contractor for a furnace replacement. Found Furnace Direct and got the exact same Goodman unit for under $5k delivered. My installer couldn't believe the price and installed it in one day. Runs perfectly.

Fast shipping, exactly as described

Ordered on a Tuesday, pallet arrived Friday. Unit was packed well, no damage, all factory sealed. Andrew answered my sizing question over the phone and got me the right model. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Installer said same one he'd buy at supply house

My HVAC guy said he pays basically the same price at his wholesale supply house. The markup contractors add is insane. Furnace Direct cut the middleman out entirely. Will recommend to everyone I know.

Heating my 2,200 sq ft home perfectly

Installed my 96% AFUE furnace a couple months ago. Heats my 2,200 sq ft home perfectly, and my gas bill dropped noticeably compared to the old unit. Great product, great price, great experience from start to finish.

Saved enough to pay for the install

Math was simple: 3 contractor quotes all over $8k. Furnace Direct plus local installer was under $5,500 total. Saved enough to basically pay for the install myself. Quality is identical to what contractors charge a fortune for.

No-pressure, honest pricing

Called a few HVAC companies first — every single one wanted to schedule an "in-home consultation" before giving me a price. Furnace Direct just showed me the price. Bought online, shipped next day, done. This is how it should work.
